Galaxy operator

Galaxy operator deals with the rough or window polished diamond. This machine will map the diamond, make them transparent and auto plot inclusions inside them. This will make life easy for the planner or any other person to see the inclusions on the screen under high magnification

This task is performed because of following reasons:
  • Too many inclusions
  • Not sure position of inclusions of inclusions
  • Multiple bubbles
  • Deep grooves
  • Frosted or coated skin




Responsibilities:

  • Check every parcel have diamond when receiving parcels from stock controller
  • Check weight of diamond in weighing scale and confirm if it matches with the current weight mentioned in the parcel
  • Consumables, tools and equipment are available and in good condition
  • Calibration is mandatory everyday in the morning before production
  • Cover your Galaxy machine and shut down machine with technician help when going for long holidays
  • Ensure the aircon in the room is always on 18°-21°C
  • Ensure your room is clean and tidy before knocking off for the day

  • 0.5 Marker pen
  • Pre cleaning liquid
  • Post cleaning liquid
  • 6 beakers
  • RO purifier
  • Ultra sonic cleaning machine
  • Hair dryer
  • Tap for water flow
  • Whitener
  • Whitener thinner and whitener cleaning liquid
  • Tweezer
  • Pots in all sizes
  • 10X or more magnifier loupe
  • Apron or dust coat
  • Regular pen and book to note down any instruction from monitor or supervisor
  • Cloth for cleaning
  • Weighing scale
  • Gal Manager
  • Safety clothes
  • Diaexpert eye or similar with their tools(Stages, lens, etc)
  • Galaxy machine

Calibration:

  • Everyday in the morning you need to put cleaning process of 25-30 minutes atleast. This is called degassing
  • Check if the screen is clean
  • If not continue for few more minutes
  • Screen need to be clear so that the planner or anyone can see the inclusions clearly

Window polisher

Polisher deals with the rough diamond. Follow planners' pen marking to polish and return back to the planner/ section monitor/ section supervisor. This task is performed because of following reasons: Surface of the diamond is frosted or coated Inclusions are clearly visible though the surface is clear Understand depth of inclusions To confirm inclusion type or nature To confirm the clarity Responsibilities: Check every parcel have diamond when receiving parcels from stock controller Check weight of diamond in weighing scale and confirm if it matches with the current weight mentioned in the parcel Be sure that you fully understand pen marking by the planners Consumables, tools and equipment are available and in good condition Opening the scaif should be done just before shift end so that you are ready for tomorrow Cover your scaif and oil your tang when going for weekend or holidays Ensure your polishing mill is clean and tidy before knocking off for the day Scaif have to be balance...
