    Hello Freshers!!!

     Interested to join diamond factory or wanted to understand in brief of manufacturing factory? This is a good place for you.

    Many freshers in the world just need a job to overcome their expenses without having any knowledge of diamond factory and finally end up that this is not their place of work. This will end their career in diamond factory where they will loose their critical time of their life. Similarly, diamond factory which invested in training you from the scratch to a certain level will also loose their critical time instead they could have invested in some other fresher.

    Now you attend an interview and you will share your knowledge of how a manufacturing plant works and believe me; interviewer will be stunned and will ask did you ever work before? Obviously your answer is going to be "NO. Its my passion towards Diamond". This is what happened with me in my interview. My factory manager was very happy for my preparedness for the factory before attending my first day of work as I have gained basic knowledge. Sounds nice? Curious of learning too? Let's begin!!!

Window polisher

Polisher deals with the rough diamond. Follow planners' pen marking to polish and return back to the planner/ section monitor/ section supervisor. This task is performed because of following reasons: Surface of the diamond is frosted or coated Inclusions are clearly visible though the surface is clear Understand depth of inclusions To confirm inclusion type or nature To confirm the clarity Responsibilities: Check every parcel have diamond when receiving parcels from stock controller Check weight of diamond in weighing scale and confirm if it matches with the current weight mentioned in the parcel Be sure that you fully understand pen marking by the planners Consumables, tools and equipment are available and in good condition Opening the scaif should be done just before shift end so that you are ready for tomorrow Cover your scaif and oil your tang when going for weekend or holidays Ensure your polishing mill is clean and tidy before knocking off for the day Scaif have to be balance...

Clarity

     Diamonds are formed with carbon and few other elements(nitrogen, boron, etc) along with some air, dust, packed inside it. These packed particles are called inclusions. They define the clarity (grade) of the diamond. In simple words, diamonds clarity grade depends on inclusion location, number of inclusions, inclusion color, inclusion shape and reflection. All these factors are considered under 10X magnification and a final grade is decided by the quality checker from the top view. Grades are as below: IF- Internally flawless VVS1- Very very small included 1 VVS2- Very very small included 2 VS1- Very small included 1 VS2- Very small included 2 SI1- Small included 1 SI2- Small included 2 I1- Included 1 I2- Included 2 I3- Included 3     Was it difficult to find the difference between IF, VVS1 and VVS2 clarities?
