    Hello Freshers!!!

     Interested to join diamond factory or wanted to understand in brief of manufacturing factory? This is a good place for you.

    Many freshers in the world just need a job to overcome their expenses without having any knowledge of diamond factory and finally end up that this is not their place of work. This will end their career in diamond factory where they will loose their critical time of their life. Similarly, diamond factory which invested in training you from the scratch to a certain level will also loose their critical time instead they could have invested in some other fresher.

    Now you attend an interview and you will share your knowledge of how a manufacturing plant works and believe me; interviewer will be stunned and will ask did you ever work before? Obviously your answer is going to be "NO. Its my passion towards Diamond". This is what happened with me in my interview. My factory manager was very happy for my preparedness for the factory before attending my first day of work as I have gained basic knowledge. Sounds nice? Curious of learning too? Let's begin!!!

Window polisher

Polisher deals with the rough diamond. Follow planners' pen marking to polish and return back to the planner/ section monitor/ section supervisor. This task is performed because of following reasons: Surface of the diamond is frosted or coated Inclusions are clearly visible though the surface is clear Understand depth of inclusions To confirm inclusion type or nature To confirm the clarity Responsibilities: Check every parcel have diamond when receiving parcels from stock controller Check weight of diamond in weighing scale and confirm if it matches with the current weight mentioned in the parcel Be sure that you fully understand pen marking by the planners Consumables, tools and equipment are available and in good condition Opening the scaif should be done just before shift end so that you are ready for tomorrow Cover your scaif and oil your tang when going for weekend or holidays Ensure your polishing mill is clean and tidy before knocking off for the day Scaif have to be balance...

Rapaport

Every diamond have a price which is independent of each other. Diamonds have various properties that drive the value of it. Most important of them are color, clarity cut, carat and fluorescence. Based on these factors, a tabular form between Shape, carat, color, clarity and cut in terms of number is created which updates every week called Rapaport Diamond Report. This rapaport is a document used to define the value or price of diamond. Before rapaport came into place every retailer had its own price for every diamond and after rapaport came into existence, the variation was reduced and consumers without any fear can buy it at a higher price. History:     Martin Rapaport is the founder of Rapaport report in 1978. Many of the retailers did not accept it because they see lowering the price of diamonds through rapaport and they say it is the wholesale price book and not retail.
